秋の落ち葉は彩りが綺麗ですね。『葉』は英語で leaf ですね。では『落ち葉』は何て言うのか分かりますか？

f や fe で終わる単語の複数形は ves に変えるんでしたね。

他に knife – knives / life – lives / wife – wives などが ves になります。
・落ちる fall
fall の変化は fall – fell – fallen で過去分詞形が fallen です。
この fallen は形容詞でもあります。『落ちた、地面に落下した』という意味です。
だから
